The dance of the week for this week is the Blacktown Set. This set is from an area which includes parts of counties Donegal, Fermanagh and Tyrone. It is thought to originate from Donegal as there are resemblances to a set danced on Tory Island. Follow the link for figure notes and videos for each figure

DOTW: Caledonian Set
The Caledonian Set is a fun dance that’s an old favorite and a great opportunity to use your battering footwork. You’ll find that in some venues they encourage lots of free expression in the Caledonian and in some you’ll want to keep things low. Either way, you’re bound to have fun. Follow the link for notes and videos.
Rinkinstown Set
A new fun-looking dance has been added to DanceMinder, the Rinkinstown Set. It’s a set that was created just this past year. If you’ve danced it let us know what you think about it in the comments here or on DanceMinder.
DOTW: Baile Bhuirne Jig Set
