Slide, 80 Bars + 8 bar lead-in
Hook & House Top couples dance 1 bar into the set, 1 bar out & house around opposite couple & back home. Some dancers will exaggerate the hook by dancing slightly to the left and back to place before housing.
There are several variations for this movement. Some dance two bars in place. Some dance straight into the house. Some dance two bars backing the lady toward the couple on the right. Some dance a "hook" where the lady dances in front of the gent and back to place while the gent turns slightly left and to the right with 1-23, 2-23 steps.
This is currently (early 2016) danced in Ballyvourney by dancing straight into the house.

Dance 1 to 5
Slide, 104 Bars + 8 bar lead-in
Hook & House
|2||Square the House||8|
Half chain All face partners, take right arm, dance ½ turn around each other to face in the opposite direction. Gents face clockwise, ladies face counter-clockwise. All chain L hand, R hand etc. to meet partners in opposite place.
|5||Slide and change All couples slide to the center & back; house halfway, to home. Repeat to opposite place. Stay on “wrong” side||16|
Dance 1 to 5: Because the sides have also just finished housing halfway, it's much easier on the sides to go straight into the house without doing a hook or any other embellishment.
