Advance and Retire In waist hold (lady's left hand on gent's near shoulder, his right arm around her waist), couples step forward for half a bar of music, forward again on the opposite foot, then step lightly in place 3 times in the second bar of music.  Repeat in the next 2 bars, stepping backward.  Repeat forward and backward one more time.
Ladies start by stepping onto their right foot, gents onto their left.
