What is this site for
At a very basic level it's a place where you can go when you need notes for a dance in either full or crib format.
The next level is available to registered and editing-approved members such as the ability to enter/edit dances, create their own collections as well as other member-only features we're working on.
You can find more information through the What is DanceMinder For? blog post.
Why do I need to log in
If you just want to view the dances you don't need to log in.
As a registered user you'll be able to take advantage of the following features:
1. Be notified when new dances are added.
2. Share collections of dances (with both members and non-members).
3. Download PDF versions of full and crib versions of the dances.
4. Rate dances based on how easy and fun they are to dance.
5. Contact other members through DanceMinder.
Plus new features as they become available.
If, after registering you want to become an editor and enter your own dances or help maintain the database, contact us to request editor access.
Why are crib notes initally shown collapsed?
This is our way of optimizing the mobile experience. One assumption we're making with the crib notes is that people will use them on mobile devices and that they'll be referencing a single figure at a time. Because of this it's more efficient to show the notes collapsed so that so that the figure of interest can be expanded by the user.
